Although I haven't posted anything for several weeks, I haven't stopped working on the car completely, but I have only managed small jobs here and there.
Most of my time has been spent wiring. Its a slow old process and there is is very little to show for the hours I have spent but I have taken a few photos of some of the more interesting items ( interesting is probably pushing it really)
I have fitted the extra feed for the revotec fan controller and made the connection to the alternator.

Whilst I was wiring up the alternator I realised that the cable for the temperature sensor on the harness was too short for the sensor position recommended by Roadcraft ( on the side of the head near the sparkplug)
It would have been easy to extend the harness but I decided I didn't fancy having the harness running over the top of the cylinder head .....
So, I have decided to route it down the other side of the engine through a stainless tube held in stainless brackets under the HT lead carrier.

The cable will come out of the bulkhead at the same location as the feed from the MSD ignition module to the distributor.
I have started to prepare the cables coming out of the MSD unit so they look neat. I have also fitted the coil which allowed me to calculate the correct length of harness required from the MSD unit.

I have also fitted a water proof connector between the rad fan and the forward harness
Other non wiring tasks completed. I have cut the excess material from behind the dash to give me better access to the relays and fusebox plus the wiring !!!
I also had a new warning light escutcheon made. Andrew from Dax kindly gave a 4 way escutcheon but the switch layout etc I want to use means I really needed a 6 way escutcheon. Pete from work (many thanks) kindly had a 6 way made for me. It just needs a bit of a polish to finish it off.
