It's been almost a month since my last post and to be honest not much has happened until yesterday due to a fantastic 10 days in Florida and the distraction of a new car in the form of a 2007 Defender.
Before we went away I did do some more wiring for the EPAS system but to be honest the changes are not worth showing.
Yesterday Andy Hatton kindly made the journey up from Harlow to help me with the fitting of the internal boot hinges he made for me some time ago and to fit the hardtop he has also made for me.
(To be honest he did all the work whilst I was trying to earn brownie points altering the kitchen for the wife ... she hasnt agreed to another garage yet for the next project)
I had really struggled with the boot hinges to get the boot to fit properly.
Andy soon had the hinges in the correct place using a very handy half boot lid.
This was then removed and the boot part of the hinge bonded to my boot lid.

The wurth has not fully dried yet so I have yet to pull the rivets and fit the lid.
He then moved onto fitting the hardtop he had made for me.
I had fallen for this hardtop at last years Donnington show placed an order not long after. The roof is different to Dave Brookes in that it has rear quarter glass and extends further rearward.
All I can say is it's a work of art and sets the car off fantastically.
Andy is also a star. He has huge practical experience of all things Cobra as well as other Dax recent projects !!!! and was willing to give his advice to all those questions I had been storing up. Many thanks Andy.
