Before going I started to prepare the transmission cover for fitting. Having recently bled the clutch hydraulics I have decided to put an access cover in the side of the tunnel in case I need to do it again.
I have also fitted a rubber blanking plug lined up with the oil filler plug on the other side.
I have also bought some beautiful chrome cable clips to hold the clutch hose to the bulkhead. Nobody will ever see them but I know they are there !!!
The header tank project has been very painful to say the least and I must say a huge thank you to Dave from MTC who has the patience of a saint. He must have modified the tank 10 times by now as I keep changing my mind as to how and where I am going to fit it.
Suffice to say I am now happy with it and it now just need to go back for final welding and finishing
Another huge thank you goes to Tracey M and her dad Bud who kindly bought and brought back a few goodies for me. I haven't even started the engine yet but I have already changed the alternator mounting and adjustment to a billet March system rather than the steel and chrome plated fitting that came from Repower.
A new drop base was included which overall gives me 3/4" more clearance to the bonnet which I need if I am going to be able to fit the small rivet on scoop I have in mind. Its not quite the same as the Edelbrock filter I had before but the scoop is more important to me than the filter.
