The speed sensor needs to be earthed on the chassis and one the green wire harness tapped back.
I insulated the wires on the fuel pump and filled the rubber boots with terminal anti corrosion spray
I have recently received my polished billet steering wheel boss from Motolita so I could finish off the fitting of the modified switch mounting bracket and trial fit the column covers.
The manual says something like "some modification is required" !!!!
Helpful. Anyway I have no idea how you are supposed to modify / fit he covers but the pictures below show what I have done so far.
I have fitted a bracket at the back of the column to hold the lower cover and have made a plate to cover the height adjustment hole. Today I need to decide what to do about the key barrel as the column and cover are completely out of alignment
It needs to be made from 45 mm O/D stainless pipe which won't be cheap so I want to make sure my design will fit before its made
My first proto was made in copper to get the angles correct and the second was made out of plastic pipe of almost the right diameter to check everything fits... Just need to get the final made now.
The tank looks fantastic which I think should set off the engine bay beautifully.
Ian is a really helpful chap and a craftsman if you need any thing making in stainless.
I must thank Ant Harold for the original idea and design ( Ihope he doesn't mind me copying him )
