Over the past few weeks I have made some progress at last.
Jobs completed are;
Fit hand brake cable. The routing under the car is different from how Dax suggest, I have the cable that connects to the lever under the cables going to the drums rather than over, it just looked better and less strained

Fitted the new stainless dash cover and then fitted the fuel pressure regulator along with a pressure gauge
The picture above is of the P clips I have used to hold the fuel line in the engine bay. I didn't like the usual stainless for billet clips so I have used chrome plated Harley Davidson spotlight mounts made by a company called Kuryakyn. Expensive.... but makes me happy.
I have also managed to fit the roll hoops
and the brake pipes in the engine bay
I know it doesn't look it but the above took HOURS.
Each pipe, I made a prototype of before making the final version and each proto was modified numerous times.
Even now they are no where near perfect but I have called it a day.
The clamps will go on this weekend

And finally, I bought myself an A Frame gantry off ebay to fit the engine.
Although I have a hydraulic hoist, popular theory is that the are not long enough to fit an engine to a Dax.
I have been watching a few gantries and the one below was cheap and on 75 miles away .....
It needs a wire brush and a lick of paint but will do the job nicely.
