After a number of frustrating weekends I have at last made some progress and finished some jobs. The front end had always been a job I wasn't looking forward to. Having started it last weekend I have finished it this weekend.
It took ages, nothing was straight forward ( or symmetrical for that matter) even the escutcheons took hours to modify but its done.

I then moved onto the powered steering. Chris T had kindly retested the ECU and confirmed it was still working so I fitted the new control box that I had bought from Ireland. Hey presto IT WORKED. A huge relief as I didn't fancy taking out the column as it had taken ages to fit.
I then moved onto my mirror centre stay from Brasscraft. I had tried to fit it years ago but it was never going to mate up with the screen so I had given it up as a lost cause. Upon revisiting the problem I decided it didn't need to bolt to the bottom of the screen, just the body. After much filing and grinding it fitted.

Next was the dash wiring. Some of the connections / runs had only ever been temporary and I needed to fit a USB connector and some 12v sockets.
Its not finished yet and still isn't as tidy as I would like but its is definitely getting there.

All the above may not sound much, but the are all big milestones to me.
It definitely feels like I am getting nearer to that paint job.
