I didn't want to fit the in line filter sold by Dax. I wanted something with an easily replaceable element so I went for the above FRAM item. Previous Dax builders had used them so I took guidance from their experience and made a bracket to mount it on the rear face of the chassis next to the diff.
The bracket was made form a piece of box section cut away to allow the connection to be made.

The fuel pump was positioned in the recommended position, high enough so not to be damaged from below , but still giving enough clearance to the propshaft.
My plan is to have Speedflow hose and connectors throughout.
Having mounted the filter and pump, I measured up what I needed, planned the route and decided what connections I would need.
The cost was a little eye watering but it's what I want so in for a penny, in for a pound (or hundreds)
When the bits arrived could I join the 2 with any combination of fittings, could I hell. There just wasn't enough space with all the different levels and bends.
After weeks of trying I gave up and fitted a straight piece of hose with some black hose finishers. Not what I wanted but I expect only I will ever see them.
The hose from the pump to the engine went in just fine.
