Having been away last weekend I had such high hopes of getting lots done this weekend. Sadly it was not to be.
Having got my lower stainless cooling pipe back from John Kerr of Crendon with a swage on each end I refitted it with the saddle clamp I bought along time ago.

The saddle clamp keeps the pipe off the brake pipe on the chassis.
I was then going to sort out the problem with the starter motor cables. (see last post). Unfortunately I could not find a way to attach both harnesses to 1 post without them fouling the header so I have ordered some brass hex bar which i will use to space the 2 harnesses apart.
I next turned my attention to the switch plates that i mocked up 2 weeks ago.
Upon revisiting my chosen designs something just didn't feel right so I had another go ...... in fact several goes

My latest chosen design is below. I have decided to do away with the steering lock an go for a separate key, starter button and an immobiliser. The new design therefore incorporates the key and starter button.
I feel happier with this layout (at least for today) and it allows me to make the 2 switch plate on the left of the steering wheel a bit narrower.

Lets see if I feel the same next weekend !!!
