Last week Dave R delivered some stainless bits and bobs his Dad was making me for my Andy Hatton hard top. I haven't fitted them yet but I think they will compliment Andy's beautiful roof. Many thanks Jim.
I also received last week the hex brass bar I needed to make the extended nut for the starter motor. This was my idea to get around the 2 harnesses touching the header. I made a nut 20mm long which holds the 1st harness between the nut and the starter and allows me to attach the 2nd harness with a bolt to the other end of the nut.
Above is showing the nut fixing the 1st harness and below the completed item.
Unfortunately the small ignition wire is still touching the header so I will apply some metal heat shield to protect it.
The remainder of the weekend spent trying to fit the offside exhaust system. Compared to the nearside it has been a nightmare so far. The headers dont align to the collector which made making the hole in the body tricky. Suffice to say I have now made the hole and will mount the whole system next time.

The photo above shows how far the centre header was when fitted to the collector.
