After last weekends fun with the off side exhaust, I have managed to finish the engine bay. This involved fitting the HT leads from the distributor to the right hand bank and making up an HT cable for the coil.
Andy Hatton popped in on Saturday and helped me by fitting the doors. The purpose of his trip was to help adjust the internal boot hinges which I have been struggling with. After a while we concluded that even if we got them to fit now, they would need to come of when the car was being painted and the nature of them would most likely lead to paint damage. I have therefore decided to go back to external hinges.
I also managed to fit some of the hardtop stainless fittings made by Jim Rounding. I am very pleased with them despite the fact I needed to use a couple ow washers to pack out the catches ( that will teach me to measure with a ruler not a vernier !!! )
