This picture was taken at 8.30 in Shoreham-by-Sea near Brighton. Jack and I had left at 5.15 form Derby to get there. Hadn't slept well the night before..... a bit like Christmas eve when you were young.
This was what was waiting. Its a Small Block Chevy with an
Edelbrock Performer RPM package, stroked, and as many shiny bits fitted as Brian at Roadcraft had.

Arrived back home safely.
Now only have to get it out .....
It was at this point we realised there was not enough height above the engine to get he engine hoist in and be able to lift the engine up.

With the air filter and mounting stud removed, chain on end of arm shortened, we just manages to get the balance bar in above the engine, and by using ratchet straps just get the engine off the van floor.
Safely in the garage. The process between the last picture and this one were too stressful for pictures. This was just getting it out of a van. What will it be like fitting it , with gearbox , to the car.
Gearbox was simple in comparison.
