I have actually made some good progress in the garage over the past weekend. I don't have many pictures as there not much to show but below is what I achieved.
1. I filled my cooling system. Doesn't sound much but unfortunately my heater hose layout means my header and the top hose (with the bleed vent) is not the highest point in the system and various leaks appeared as I filled the system. But by disconnecting the highest of my heater hoses and filling from the header and the heater hose I managed to complete what was one of those tasks I have been putting off for ages.
2. I finished off the wire harness modifications necessary for my revised switch and warning light layout.
3. I have fitted the rear transmission tunnel cover. Again sounds easy, took ages...... hours. The moulding is no where near the right shape and the 2 inner harness mounting points require you to butcher the cover.

I fitted rivnuts to the rear panel to make future removal easy and fitted a foam gasket to try and minimise road noise and water entering the cabin
4. I then fitted the door switches I need for the immobiliser and the interior lights
5. Next job was to trim and prepare the cockpit surround trim for the doors and across the rear. Yet another job that took hours due to the poor finishing of the parts plus the fact that nothing is even vaguely symmetrical. The door capping are too short t reach the door trims so I spent hours trying to get them looking similar side to side .
6. I then drilled the dash to accept the warning lights and the switches behind the stalks.
The dash is almost complete so I should be able to refit the gauges and switches soon and connect them all up with my modified harness. Engine start should not be far behind this. That WILL be a big moment.
