Although I didn't post last weekend I did manage to do a little work on the car.
I fitted the headlamps !!!
Due to the need to be able to remove the lamps for painting, I have fitted waterproof AMP connectors to the lamps.

Due to the lamps having built in sidelights and the need to be able to remove the actual lamp, I also fitted a connector between the side light and a link harness to the main harness. I am sure this is overkill but its done now.
This weekend has been all about body work and fibreglass.
The 1st job was to try and fit the small scoop to the bonnet. My original Edelbrock air filter was never going to fit under the small scoop but I hoped the thinner K & N filter brought from the States my Tracey M might just fit.
Finding the centre of the bonnet took ages but eventually I marked out the hole I need to cut and then got stuck in.

The filter was touching the bonnet even with the whole cut out so I cut away a bit more.
Still too close so I cut out some more.
Close but I think it maybe just ok. I'm not going to be sure until I start the engine up which is still sometime away.
I do think the small scoop looks great, I will bolt it on when the glue in gap between the bonnet in and out is dry.
My next task was fitting the glove box. I am amazed how the parts supplied by Dax need so much work to make fit. I won't say how many hours it took to cut the hole in the dash and remove the lip around the glovebox but it fealt

The dash and glove box will be held together by bonded L brackets as shown above. Next time I need to try and fit the whole dash assembly as I fear the glovebox may foul on some of the electrics I have already fitted.
Final job of the weekend was to fit the door looks. Took ages to get everything aligned and I have only finished one .... most frustrating.
